The Young Bucks are the first-ever 3-time AEW Tag Team Champions.
At the AEW Dynasty pay-per-view, The Jacksons defeated FTR in a ladder match to capture the titles for the third time in their career thanks to an assist from a returning star. As FTR’s Dax Harwood attempted to unhook the titles, a man in a mask attacked Harwood, who was later revealed to be Jack Perry. Nick Jackson then climbed the ladder to grab the titles and pretended to be shocked as Perry was escorted out of the building.
This was the first appearance by Perry since All In, where the infamous events took place that led to his suspension. Perry has been competing for New Japan since January 2024 but has now finished up wth the promotion.
The Young Bucks first won the championships back at Full Gear 2020, where they also defeated FTR to become champions.
The Young Bucks Gain Retribution From AEW All In
The last time the 2 teams met was at AEW All In back in August. With FTR victorious inside Wembley Stadium, Matt and Nick Jackson have claimed in storyline that the reason for their loss was that they were distracted by the backstage altercation that took place between CM Punk and Jack Perry earlier in the night. Prior to Dynasty, The Bucks presented a segment where they played CCTV footage from the infamous altercation.
The night was a very successful one for The Elite as Kazuchika Okada defeated Pac earlier in the night to retain the Continental Championship.
