The Vision are the World Tag Team Champions once again thanks to help from an unlikely WWE ally.
In the opening match of the July 6 Raw, Austin Theory and Bron Breakker defeated The Street Profits to win back the titles. The closing moments of the match saw Logan Paul distract the referee, allowing Maxxine Dupri to make her way into the ring. Dupri hit a low blow onto Angelo Dawkins, allowing Theory to pick up the pinfall victory. After the match, Dupri celebrated with the new champions, leaping into Theory’s arms and kissing the new champion.
In a backstage segment that followed, Paul Heyman congratulated Dupri on her involvement in the match, but was reluctant to give praise to the new champions.
The Street Profits won the titles from The Vision on the June 22 edition of Raw. Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins took advantage of distractions from Joe Hendry and Seth Rollins to win the tag team championships. The latest title change ends their reign at 2 weeks.
The Vision Kick Off Night Of Title Changes On WWE Raw
This was the first of 2 title changes to take place on the show, which was dubbed “Championship Monday” on commentary. In the main event of the show, CM Punk made his return to TV and defeated Sami Zayn to win the WWE Championship.
The other title match on the show saw Sol Ruca defeat Raquel Rodriguez to retain the Women’s Intercontinental Championship.
