Chris Jericho’s faction is no more.
As seen in the opening segment of the August 9th episode of AEW Dynamite, Jericho was left alone in the ring after being abandoned by his former allies.
The Society minus Jericho stood in the ring after the opening titles, introducing The Ocho with little enthusiasm. Jericho came to the ring and tried to explain himself, but was cut off by Daniel Garcia, who quickly quit the group.
One by one, members of the group announced they were done and walked to the back. The last member to announce his exit was Sammy Guevara, who left the door open for a reunion down the road.
After the commercial break, the former AEW Champion met with Don Callis backstage, stating that he has made his decision on whether or not he will join the Callis family, and will announce it on August 16th.
A Brief History Of The Jericho Appreciation Society
The faction was Jericho’s second group in AEW, featuring members of the original faction The Inner Circle. The group was originally formed as a heel group, portraying sports entertainment in a company that all about professional wrestling.
The group formed in March 2022, and was featured in multiple marquee matches. First defeating The Blackpool Combat Club in the first ever Anarchy In The Arena, the group were defeated in the Bloods and Guts rematch against the BCC.
