WWE are still attempting to get “Stone Cold” Steve Austin to make an appearance at WrestleMania.
In an update published via Fightful Select, The Texas Rattlesnake has had pitches for WrestleMania 39 sent since last year. This comes following Austin’s successful return to the ring in the main event of night one of WrestleMania 38, defeating Kevin Owens in a no holds barred match.
Could Steve Austin return?
According to WWE sources, Austin is open to working another match at WrestleMania, providing the situation and pay are appropriate for the return.
Online rumours and constructed graphics have promoted a match at Mania between the WWE Hall of Famer and SmackDown star LA Knight. However, while this has been one of many angles pitched, there has been no more confirmation regarding this rumoured clash.
In an update in September 2024, Steve Austin has yet to make another appearance since 2022 but has dropped a tease regarding an appearance at the Las Vegas show in 2025.
