Steve Austin has addressed his recent appearance at WrestleMania 41 that got fans talking for all the wrong reasons.
Making a guest appearance on night 2 of the show, Austin announced the Sunday and overall attendance for the show. Making his entrance on an ATV, Austin rode down the ramp and around the ring before making the announcement. However, during the entrance, Austin crashed the vehicle into the barricade, knocking a fan over in the process. Shortly afterwards, WWE President Nick Khan was seen checking on the fan.
Appearing on The Ariel Helwani Show, Austin was asked about the incident. Elaborating on what went wrong, The Texas Rattlesnake noted that the ATV had a different throttle to what he was used to:
“Different throttle setup than what I’m normally used to. Long story short, just a different throttle system because I’m pretty damn handy on a on a four wheeler,”
When asked if there was any aftermath, Austin stated that there wasn’t, but he was embarrassed that he crashed the ATV at the biggest show of the year:
“No, just I was embarrassed about it. I think everybody’s ok, but I mean, you go out there on the biggest night in wrestling, and you end up like that, it’s not the greatest day at the office. You go out there and you want to give people the best show that you can and when you fall short of that, it’s not great.”
Steve Austin Did Reject Logan Paul Pitch
After WrestleMania, Logan Paul stated on his podcast that he offered Austin $1 million to be the one disguised in a giant Prime bottle during Paul’s match with AJ Styles, which the Hall of Famer turned down. When asked about this, Austin did confirm that he did reject the pitch, noting that he is in the beer business and knows nothing of Paul’s Prime brand:
“I just thought that was kind of personal business, but since it’s out there, yeah, I turned it down. I’m in the beer business, I sell Broken Skull beer, we’re in about 25 or 30 states. I don’t know anything about his product,”
