Raw star Stephanie Vaquer has commented on her WWE Women’s World Championship match being cancelled following the update from now former champion Naomi.
Vaquer was originally set to face Naomi for the title at Clash in Paris on August 31. However, following the announcement that Naomi is pregnant, the championship has been vacated and the match has now been cancelled.
Taking to social media, the former NXT Women’s Champion sent her congratulations to Naomi on the announcement, adding that she would have won the match had it taken place:
I didn’t tell you before because you were surely overwhelmed with emotions, but I want to congratulate you and Jimmy on the future superstar that’s on the way ❤️. Someday I’ll tell your baby how they helped you escape from me and prevented ‘Stephanie Velcro’ from winning the title in Paris 🙃☺️😆.
Enjoy this new chapter, I know you’re going to be a great mom, Chiquita. I’m already ready for Paris and I’ll be here, waiting for you whenever you decide to come back 💪🔥

Naomi won the title back at Evolution by successfully cashing in her Money in the Bank contract at Evolution while the match between Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY was ongoing. As a result of the cash in, the women’s briefcase maintains its 100% success rate. Naomi defended the title once at SummerSlam against SKY and Ripley in a triple threat match.
Will Stephanie Vaquer Still Compete At WWE Clash In Paris?
While no official update on what will happen to the Women’s World Championship has been provided at the time of writing, lead announcer Michael Cole stated that they would have more information on the August 25 episode of Raw, which will also serve as the go-home show for Clash in Paris. With only 4 atches currently announced, it is likely that a match to determine the new champion will be announced for the Premium Live Event.
