SmackDown after WrestleMania 37 aired on April 16th. There were no returns or NXT call-ups on the show. Here are the results and talking points from the show:
- Roman Reigns made his way to the ring following his victory at WrestleMania. He talked about his victory but was interrupted by Cesaro. The Universal Champion exited the ring before The Swiss Cyborg could say a word.
- In a WrestleMania rematch, Kevin Owens defeated Sami Zayn by count out. KO hit a post match stunner on Zayn.
- Rey Mysterio defeated Otis.
- Natalya defeated Shayna Baszler. Post-match, Nia Jax tried to attack Natalya, but was stopped by Tamina
- The Street Profits threw a victory party for new SmackDown Women’s Champion Bianca Belair.
- Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler retained their Tag Team Championships in a match against The Street Profits.
- In the main event, Cesaro took on Jey Uso. The match ended in disqualification following interference from Seth Rollins, who attacked Cesaro.
- The show was also the debut of Pat McAfee on the SmackDown commentary team, following a shakeup on both brands.
