Shinsuke Nakamura Wins United States Championship At WWE Survivor Series

Shinsuke Nakamura scored an upset victory at WWE Survivor Series to win the United States Championship.

Shinsuke Nakamura is now a 3-time United States Champion.

Taking place at WWE Survivor Series, Nakamura defeated LA Knight at the Premium Live Event to capture the title once again. The match saw Nakamura repeatedly take control of Knight, cutting odd the former champion at every opportunity. The closing stage of the match saw Nakamura hit a reverse DDT onto the steel grating that holds the 2 rings together for WarGames, followed up by a Kinshasha knee strike to win the match and the championship in what was very much an upset victory for the recently returning star. The victory brings to an end Knight’s reign that began back at SummerSlam.

The victory adds to Nakamura’s accolades which also include 2 Intercontinental Championship reigns, a Tag Team Championship reign and a victory in the Royal Rumble match.

Shinsuke Nakamura Makes Triumphant Return

Prior to his SmackDown return, Nakamura was last seen on TV back in April, losing to Sheamus on an episode of Raw. Nakamura has continually competed at live events over the summer and autumn but has been kept off TV.

While Nakamura now reigns as the Men’s United States Champion, a tournament is currently underway to crown the first-ever Women’s United States Champion.
