RevPro has announced a huge match for an upcoming show as AEW National Champion Ricochet will face former Undisputed British Heavyweight Champion Michael Oku.
The announcement was made on RevPro’s YouTube channel by Owner Andy Quildan and Tom Campbell following a live show in Sheffield on March 8.
The match is set to take place at a RevPro live show in Coventry on March 22. This will be a first time ever singles match between the two men, although they have previously shared the same ring. Back at Forbidden Door 2025, which took place in London, Ricochet, Bishop Kaun, and Toa Liona faced JetSpeed and Oku, with The Demand picking up the victory in the 6-man tag team match.
Oku has become one of the biggest stars in the UK independent promotion. His match against Will Ospreay at High Stakes 2024, which was one of Ospreay’s final matches before joining AEW full-time, received critical acclaim.
Will Ricochet Still Be Champion For Michael Oku Match?
Although Ricochet currently reigns as the AEW National Champion, he may not have the title by the time the match comes around. The inaugural National Champion will put his title on the line at Revolution in a 21-man battle royal as part of the pre-show. At the time of writing, no other participants in the match have been announced.
Ricochet won the National Championship back at Full Gear as part of a Casino Gauntlet match.
