WWE NXT star Ricky Saints will be out of action until further notice as the promotion has announced he is dealing with an injury.
Saints was last in action on the May 27th episode of NXT, losing the North American Championship to Ethan Page. During the match, Page targeted Saints’ head and neck with a cutter onto the chair and more offence targeting the head in the closing moments.
On the June 3rd episode of NXT, it was announced that the former champion is dealing with a laryngeal contusion. A CT scan was also shown onscreen that detailed how Saints’ larynx differs from a healthy person.
There is currently no timetable as to when Saints will make his return to TV. The former Ricky Starks made his shock debut earlier in the year after being granted his release from AEW and defeated Shawn Spears to win the North American Title for the first time in his career.

Shortly after Page defeated Saints to become the new North American Champion, the NXT star was confronted by Rey Fenix, Laredo Kid and Je’Von Evans. It was later announced that Page would put the title on the line against all 3 challengers at Worlds Collide on June 7th.
