Rey Mysterio has undergone successful knee surgery and is on the road to recovery.
Following an attack to write Mysterio off of TV on November 10th, the WWE Hall of Famer posted an update on Instagram. Seen with his right knee wrapped up, Mysterio revealed that the surgery was a success:
As reported by Haus of Wrestling, a WWE source believes that Mysterio will be back in 6 to 8 weeks, roughly in time for the 2024 Royal Rumble.
It is further reported by Haus of Wrestling that the former United States Champion has been working while suffering a torn meniscus for the past few months. It is said that the injury has progressively gotten worse over time, leaving the now former US Champion no choice but to drop the title to Logan Paul and undergo surgery.
Mysterio was attacked in storyline by Santos Escobar on SmackDown, with Escobar kicking the steel steps into Mysterio’s leg.
