Rey Mysterio will be remaining a part of WWE for the foreseeable future.
As reported by Dave Meltzer, Mysterio has re-signed with the company on the same day that his son Dominik Mysterio also signed a new contract, as reported by PWInsider.
It’s unknown how long the new deal is for the Hall of Famer, but it has been reported that Dominik’s deal could be for up to 5 years. Mysterio made his return to the company at the 2018 Royal Rumble and has remained a full-time Superstar since.
Rey Mysterio is currently out with injury after undergoing knee surgery. Mysterio is expected to be cleared around Royal Rumble time. Mysterio was taken out in storyline by Santos Escobar.
Multiple WWE Stars Negotiating Contracts
With WWE signing many stars to new 5-year deals back in 2019 to stop talent from speaking with AEW, many deals are set to expire in 2024. Multiple top stars such as Seth Rollins, Becky Lynch and Drew McIntyre are still yet to confirm the next stages of their careers.
