Don’t expect Randy Orton to make a WWE return in the near future.
The Viper has been out of action for over a year, being written off of TV in May 2022. New details have emerged on the health status of Orton in a recent report.
As reported by Fightful Select, Orton was taken off TV last year due to having a lower back fusion. While it has been speculated that a surprise Orton return could happen at SummerSlam, WWE sources have stated that the former WWE Champion has not been factored into any creative plans. The report also mentions that if a surprise return is happening, it is being kept very quiet.
While Orton is yet to resume bumping in the ring, he has started working out again, with sources stating that there is a substantial change in physique as a result of this.
Randy Orton has not been cleared to compete by WWE medical staff, and the nature of the injury is described as “unchartered territory,” as few WWE Superstars have been out with an injury of this nature. Orton has been advised to not continue wrestling by doctors in the future, but this is a decision that will ultimately be made by The Apex Predator himself.
As seen in a new update, the WWE return of Randy Orton looks promising.
