Paul Wight Re-Signs With AEW

Paul Wight will remain a part of AEW for the foreseeable future as he has signed a new deal with the promotion.

As reported by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, Wight is believed to have signed the new to keep him a part of All Elite Wrestling. It is also noted that the former World Champion’s deal was set to expire earlier in the year.

Wight has made multiple media appearances recently to promote AEW’s upcoming All In show at Wembley Stadium in August. The 7-foot wrestler stated in one interview that he was looking to close out his career in AEW.

Paul Wight Staying In AEW, Will He Wrestle Again?

Wight has now been away from the ring for over 2 years. The AEW star’s last match took place on the Jericho Cruise, which saw him reunite with Chris Jericho. JeriShow teamed with Mike Bailey to pick up the win over Kyle Fletcher, Powerhouse Hobbs, and Lance Archer.

Wight, 54, has not officially retired from in-ring action, but there has been no indication as to when he may return to wrestling.

During his time in WWE as The Big Show, Wight was known for his many face and heel turns, which became a punchline among fans due to the frequency. In a recent interview, Wight gave his thoughts on how many times he switched sides.
