WWE Raw announcer Pat McAfee has provided more information regarding his recent absence from TV.
Fans have noticed that McAfee has been away from the desk for the past 3 weeks, with Wade Barrett covering the June 9 show and Corey Graves sat besides Michael Cole on the June 16 and 23 broadcasts.
While McAfee has previously been away from the desk due to his commitments for ESPN College Gameday, the 2025 has not gotten underway yet and there has been no explanation o WWE TV. Because of this, leading to some concern over why the commentator has been absent for multiple weeks.
Addressing the reason on the June 24th episode of The Pat McAfee Show, the Raw announcer stated that he was getting pretty exhausted and needed some time to recharge:
“Continuing to just like kinda catch up on life as a whole. Post-Money in the Bank, pre-Night of Champions…was getting pretty exhausted there. So shout out to everybody at WWE for looking out for me too. Very, very thankful,”
It is currently unknown when McAfee will make his return to Raw commentary. McAfee has called most episodes of Raw alongside Michael Cole following the red brand moving to Netflix at the start of the year.
