Orange Cassidy Wins AEW International Championship

Orange Cassidy Wins AEW International Championship

Orange Cassidy is now the first-ever two-time AEW International Champion.

Cassidy was victorious on the October 10th episode of AEW Dynamite: Title Tuesday episode, dethroning no former champion Rey Fenix.

Jon Moxley was the originally advertised opponent for Fenix, but was not cleared to compete due to an injury that was sustained at AEW Grand Slam, where Fenix won the title.

The match came to an end when Fenix was hit with an Orange Punch by Cassidy to pick up the pinfall victory, ending Fenix’s reign at just 20 days.

The victory begins Cassidy’s second reign with the International Championship. The first reign lasted for 326 days and saw the title defended more than any other championships in the company.

This was the second title to change hands on Dynamite as Hikaru Shida became a 3-time Women’s Champion after defeating Saraya.
