Odyssey Jones Removed From WWE TV Due To Domestic Violence Allegations

Further information has been provided regarding the absence of WWE star Odyssey Jones.

On September 2nd, fans spotted that Jones had been removed from the roster page on the company’s website. With the new era not suddenly changing creative plans and Jones placed in a featured storyline with Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston, fans found the incident confusing. The following day on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer stated that the Raw star had been released from the company and that more details would likely come out in the next few days:

“He was taken off the roster page. My presumption, I mean, I’ve asked around, and if it had been any kind of a glitch or something I think by now it would have been corrected, or we’d have heard it’s a glitch. I’m relatively certain he’s done, but it has not been confirmed anywhere. I’ve heard a bunch of stories, but nothing that I would say is confirmed but it looks like he’s no longer with the company.

But no mention on his angles done, no mention on the show. No clips of if he was injured or something, no acknowledgement of him at all. Kofi Kingston was on, and there was no acknowledgement of what they’ve been doing. So, I mean, he’s off, he’s gone. As far as the reasons why I think that that will probably come out or whatever it is.

Obviously he was in for a push. It had nothing to do with how he was getting over, because he was doing really well. But there’s obviously a story that is probably going to come out in the next day or so I would guess. I don’t know. I mean, there’s certainly a lot of rumours around I’ll say that, but there’s nothing that I can confirm at this point in time.”

Later that day [September 3rd] Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful posted on social media that Jones was removed when allegations regarding domestic assault came to light:

Odyssey Jones was removed from WWE TV when domestic violence allegations came to light, Fightful has learned. We’ve not heard of an arrest or charges being pressed in relation to the situation. We’ve reached out to WWE for comment, as well as clarification on his status. Talent had not been informed of the situation.

Further information was added on Fightful Select, stating that they have not heard if an arrest or charges have been pressed and that talent has not been informed of the situation.

In a further update, Bryan Alvarez reported on Wrestling Observer Live that Jones is indeed gone from WWE:

“There has not been a press release or anything like that. But I’ve been told Odyssey Jones is fired. There are rumors online, also from Fightful, that it was a domestic violence allegation. Apparently no arrests at this point but I was told fired. So, that’s it for Odyssey Jones.”

Odyssey Jones Recently Made WWE Debut

Although Jones was drafted to the main roster in 2023, he did not debut until August 2024 when he came to the aid of Woods and Kingston, who were feuding with The Final Testament. Jones competed in a couple of matches since but has not been referenced on recent programming.
