The AEW World Championship is set to be redesigned following the events that took place at Worlds End.
The main event of the final AEW pay-per-view of 2023 saw Samoa Joe dethrone MJF to become the new top champion of the promotion. While MJF has been proudly presenting the Triple B throughout 2023, many feel the design does not suit the new World Champion.
Speaking in the press conference following Worlds End, Joe stated that the Triple B would be disposed of to signify the start of a new era in All Elite Wrestling:
This [Triple B AEW World Title] is going in the garbage, don’t worry about that. This trash right here, this little knockoff, BS Gucci stuff that he has going on, this is going away. We’re getting the good belt, the right belt, something that is designed well. I’ve spoken with Tony intensively about it and we’re very much looking forward to it. We have a whole new era we’re starting,”
According to multiple reports, the updated design has been seemingly leaked.
