Naomi has been announced for the August 18 episode of WWE Raw, where the Women’s World Champion will provide an update on her medical situation.
The champion was originally set to put her title on the line against IYO SKY on the August 11 show. However, at the start of the show, commentary noted that Naomi was not medically cleared to compete, so the title match did not take place. Instead, SKY faced Roxanne Perez in a losing effort.
While speculation has run wild over the reason for the Women’s World Champion not being cleared to compete, no official update has been provided. On the August 15 episode of SmackDown, Joe Tessitore noted that the Raw star is set to provide an update in the next few days. At the time of writing, Naomi is still scheduled to put her championship on the line against Stephanie Vaquer at Clash in Paris on August 31, but it is unknown if this match will still take place.
Naomi won the championship back at Evolution by cashing in her Money in the Bank contract, crashing the main event between Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY.
