Multiple WWE stars have been released from their contracts.

Update: On February 8th, Isla Dawn made the announcement on her Instagram story that she had also been released, captioning the post “Here for a good time not a long time. See you in 90.”

Shortly afterwards, news broke that Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson have been released, followed by Giovanni Vinci.

Original story: As was announced throughout the night on Friday, February 7th by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful and Mike Johnson of PWInsider, members of the roster were informed that their services are no longer required and will become free agents in 90 days. The names that are set to depart the company are as follows:

  • Cedric Alexander
  • Akam
  • Rezar
  • Paul Ellering
  • Blair Davenport
  • Sonya Deville*

Deville has not been released but has been informed that her contract would not be renewed. Deville will become a free agent in a few weeks.

Latest Round Of WWE Departures Confirmed

Cedric Alexander was the first of the departures to confirm their upcoming exit with a statement on social media. Alexander was most notably used as a part of The Hurt Business over the pandemic era, but was used much more sparingly when the group was broken up. Fan speculation is that Alexander will sign with AEW when his contract expires to reunite with Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin and MVP, now known as The Hurt Syndicate.

AOP were released back in 2020 before making their return in 2022. However, the tag team were not seen on TV until 2023 when they joined forces with Karrion Kross as part of The Final Testament.

Blair Davenport was called up to the main roster as part of the 2024 Draft but was used sparingly.

Deville was with the company for nearly a decade and is a former Women’s Tag Team Champion. Deville was last seen in the Women’s Royal Rumble match as part of Pure Fusion Collective.
