Two AEW stars have been sidelined with injuries.
Following on from the events that took place at AEW Dynasty and the following episode of Dynamite, two former champions are now out of action. As reported by Fightful Select, former TBS Champion Julia Hart has faced “a few injury problems” in recent weeks and is expected to be off television. Hart dropped the title to Willow Nightingale at Dynasty and was injured in the weeks leading up to the title defence.
The second star that has been injured is former TNT Champion Powerhouse Hobbs. On the April 24th episode of Dynamite, Hobbs challenged Jon Moxley for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship. During the match, Hobbs is seen running into the corner and his knee hits the corner hard, causing Hobbs to roll to the outside and struggle to get back into the ring. Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Live stated that this was a legitimate injury and not a part of an angle. Fightful Select has also confirmed this report and described it as a “significant injury”, with Hobbs expected to miss a lot of TV time.
Another AEW Star Part Of Scary Incident
Unfortunately, multiple AEW stars are currently sidelined with injuries with no expected return date. At the Big Business special, former TNT Champion Darby Allin suffered a broken foot in his match with Jay White and was forced to cancel his Mount Everest climb as a result. In a further update, Dary Allin recently revealed that he was hit by a bus while in New York City.
