The men’s and women’s Money in the Bank ladder matches have each seen a new addition. Big E will join the men’s match and Carmella will compete in the women’s match. This will be the first time that Big E has ever competed in the ladder match. For Carmella, this will be her fourth appearance in the signature match. Carmella has also won the ladder match twice, with a successful cash in the coming months to become SmackDown Women’s Champion.
Big E was added to the match by being victorious in his qualifying match against Intercontinental Champion Apollo Crews. Commander Azeez tried to help Crews win with interference, but Azeez was ejected from ringside. Big E won shortly afterwards with The Big Ending.
Carmella did not have to qualify for her match. Instead, WWE official Sonya Deville added the former winner into the match.
The current line-up for each match is as follows:
Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder match – Big E, Ricochet, Riddle and John Morrison.
Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match – Carmella, Alexa Bliss, Nikki Cross, Asuka and Naomi.
Other matches announced include both the WWE Championship and the RAW Women’s Championship being defended. More information on this can be found here.
