More information has been provided on the Adam Cole injury update that caused his match at AEW All In to be cancelled.
Cole was originally set to defend his TNT Championship against Kyle Fletcher at Globe Life Field in Texas on July 12. However, hours before the show went on the air, news broke that Cole would not be in action at the event and the title had been vacated. Instead, a 4-way match was booked between Fletcher, Sammy Guevara, Daniel Garcia and Dustin Rhodes, who ultimately emerged as the victor and new champion when all was said and done.
Shortly before the match, an emotional Cole appeared in the ring and gave the fans a crushing update about his condition. Announcing that it was more than a routine injury, the now former TNT Champion stated that he would be gone for a while and that it might be goodbye from him as a professional wrestler. Following the emotional update, fans now know why Cole was removed from the match.
