MJF is once again one step closer to becoming AEW World Champion.
Competing in the second match of AEW All In, MJF emerged the victor in the Casino Gauntlet match and in the process has earned a future opportunity at the World Championship, which can be cashed in at any time, similar to the Money in the Bank concept in WWE.
MJF started the match with Mark Briscoe, with the order of entrants being as follows:
- Mark Briscoe
- MJF
- Ricochet
- Bandido
- Konosuke Takeshita
- Místico
- Josh Alexander
- Anthony Bowens
- Roderick Strong
- Brody King
- Juice Robinson
- Kota Ibushi
- The Beast Mortos
- Max Caster
The end of the match saw Briscoe hit a Jay Driller on Strong, by MJF threw Briscoe out of the ring to steal the victory.
The same stipulation was applied to the Casino Gauntlet match in 2024, which saw Christian Cage emerge the victor. Cage unsuccessfully cashed in his opportunity at Revolution 2025, inserting himself into the World Championship match between Jon Moxley and Cope.
MJF Looking To Win Back AEW World Championship
Maxwell Jacob Friedman first won the World Title back at Full Gear 2022 by defeating Jon Moxley. Reigning with the championship for over a year, the longest in the promotion’s history, the record breaking run came to an end at Worlds End 2023 when MJF lost the title to Samoa Joe.
