Mercedes Mone is the winner of the Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament and has secured her spot at AEW All In.
Competing in the opening match of AEW Double or Nothing, The CEO defeated Jamie Hayter to win the tournament and add to her accolades since becoming All Elite in March 2024. The closing moments of the match saw Mone hit a surprise roll-up on Hayter following multiple close calls throughout. After the bell, Mone ran out of the ring and up the ramp to celebrate with the trophy as pyro went off in the arena.
The TBS Champion defeated Julia Hart in the opening round and Athena in the semi-finals to advance to Double or Nothing, while Hayter defeated Billie Starkz in the opening round and Kris Statlander in the semi-finals to make it to the final.
Mercedes Mone Looking To Make AEW History
As a result of the victory, Mone will challenge for the Women’s Championship at All In on July 12th, which is currently held by Toni Storm. If Mone defeats Storm in Texas, she will become the first wrestler to hold the AEW Women’s Championship and TBS Championship simultaneously.
