More information has been provided on the mysterious WWE videos that left the fans guessing.
As first seen at Halloween Havoc, a vignette aired of someone walking, but only showing their feet. Follow-up videos have since been published, with no caption or explanation on the clips. Due to the way the vignettes have been presented, speculation ran wild among fans as to what it could mean. While the general consensus was that this would be promoting the return of Gunther, who has not been seen on TV since SummerSlam, others had the more outlandish guesses that it could signal the return of Santos Escobar, Andradeor even Chris Jericho, who has been heavily rumoured to be on his way back to WWE when his AEW contract expires.
However, although the videos generated a lot of buzz, it has since been revealed that the endgame is not that exciting.
Mysterious WWE Videos To Hype WrestleMania 42
As reported by Mike Johnson of PWInsider and corroborated by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, the “feet promos” are not to hype the return of a new star, or to further any storylines. Instead, the vignettes are to promote WrestleMania 42, which will return to Las Vegas in 2026. The reports also add that Brock Lesnar, Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns are all a part of the end promo video, and that Lesnar flew in private to be a part of the vignette.
The company effectively confirmed the report on the October 27 episode of Raw, as a poker chip was seen on a table with the year 2026.
