A number one contenders match and Karrion Kross in action have been announced for the July 28th episode of SmackDown.
On the July 14th episode of SmackDown, Santos Escobar won a Fatal 4-Way match to advance in the United States Championship Invitational tournament. On the July 21st episode, Rey Mysterio also won a Fatal 4-Way match. On July 28th, LWO members will face off against each other in a student vs. teacher match. The winner will go on to face Austin Theory for the title at a later date.
Karrion Kross has targeted AJ Styles on multiple occasions, much to the annoyance of The OC. Karl Anderson will take on Kross on SmackDown.
The line-up for the July 28th SmackDown is as follows:
- Karrion Kross vs. Karl Anderson
- Rey Mysterio vs. Santos Escobar – The winner will go on to challenge Austin Theory for the United States Championship
