A new match has been announced for the Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event. SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair will team with WWE Official Sonya Deville to take on Naomi and Flair’s WrestleMania opponent Ronda Rousey on February 19th.
The match was announced on the February 11th episode of Friday Night SmackDown. In the main event of the show, Naomi challenged Flair for the SmackDown Women’s Championship. Sonya Deville, who has had issues with Naomi over recent months, was instructed by upper management to not interfere in the match. The Queen successfully retained the title via pinfall with Natural Selection.
After the match, Deville came to the ring to get in the face of Naomi, which turned into a 2 on 1 attack by Flair and Deville on the unsuccessful challenger. Ronda Rousey would come out to even the odds, focusing on Deville and attempting to injure the other arm of the WWE Official. Flair dragged Deville out of the ring before any further damage could be inflicted. That tag team match was then made official after the show.
In a historic event for the company, this will be the first time that 3 women’s matches will be taking place on a Saudi Arabia Premium Live Event. It should be noted that in the early Saudi Arabia events no women’s matches took place at all.
The following is the updated card for Elimination Chamber:
