Main Event And Opening Match Announced For WrestleMania Night 1

Sasha Banks vs. Bianca Bel Air will headline the first night of WrestleMania.

The news was confirmed in a tweet last night by WWE:

The SmackDown Women’s Champion and the winner of the Women’s Royal Rumble 2021 will clash in a historic main event for multiple reasons. Firstly, this will be the first women’s one on one match to headline WrestleMania. Secondly, it is the first time that two African American performers have headlined the biggest event in WWE’s calendar.

Also reported last night was confirmation of the first match on Saturday 10th April:

Bobby Lashley will defend his WWE Championship against Drew McIntyre in the opening match of the 2 night event. This means that this match will be the first WWE match with live fans since March 2020.
