A title match and more have been announced for the October 9 WWE SmackDown, which will take place the night before Money in the Bank.
Fatal Influence has had a successful main roster call-up, with all three members now champions. Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid will be in action on next week’s show, as they will put their Women’s Tag Team Championships on the line against Tatum Paxley and Charlotte Flair. The match was set up in a backstage segment on the October 2 show, where Flair announced she and Paxley would be teaming together to take on the champions.
Nearly all of the Money in the Bank competitors confronted WWE Champion Sami Zayn on last week’s SmackDown. One of the entrants who was not present was the man Zayn beat to win the championship, CM Punk. Punk is set to make his return on the go-home show to address the ladder match and the Premium Live Event.
With this being the final show before Money in the Bank, the New Orleans show will be the heavy focus of the show.
WWE SmackDown October 9 Line-Up:
- CM Punk returns
- Fatal Influence (Fallon Henley & Lainey Reid) (c) vs. Charlotte Flair & Tatum Paxley – Tag team match for the Women’s Tag Team Championships
- The final build to Money in the Bank
