Two top stars are set to clash on the October 17 episode of WWE SmackDown.
At the start of the month, Drew McIntyre complained that he was screwed over in his match against WWE Champion Cody Rhodes at Wrestlepalooza, and demanded that General Manager Nick Aldis make things right. Instead, McIntyre was confronted by Jacob Fatu. Following multiple backstage brawls between both men on the October 10 SmackDown in Perth, Australia, Aldis announced that McIntyre and Fatu would clash on the next episode of the show.
As this is the first episode of SmackDown following Crown Jewel, the fallout from the Australian Premium Live Event will take place, and will also begin the build to Survivor Series, which is set to take place on November 29. With WarGames set to take place at the show, it is likely that teases will be made for who will be involved in the matches the following month.
