Line-Up Announced For January 9 WWE SmackDown

A WWE Championship match and more has been announced for the January 9 WWE SmackDown, which will air live from Berlin, Germany.

Kicking off the latest international tour on the road to the Royal Rumble, SmackDown returns to Europe with shows scheduled to take place in Germany, England and Ireland over the next few weeks. The main event of the show will see Cody Rhodes defend his WWE Championship against Drew McIntyre in a 3 Stages of Hell match. On the January 2 episode of SmackDown, McIntyre revealed that the stipulations for the match are as follows:

  • Match 1 – Standard singles match
  • Match 2 – Falls count anywhere match
  • Match 3 [if required] – steel cage match

Also on the January 2 SmackDown, Trick Williams interrupted Sami Zayn and revealed that he was now a member of the SmackDown roster. Williams will have his debut match on next week’s show, as he will take on Rey Fenix.

With The Wyatt Sicks and the MFTs still at odds, both factions will face off once more in an 8 man tag match. The last match between the 2 teams ended in a no-contest.

  • Eight-man tag: Wyatt Sicks vs. The MFTs
  • Trick Williams vs. Rey Fenix
