A huge match with potential World Title implications has been announced for the February 18 episode of AEW Dynamite.
On the February 11 show, Swerve Strickland and Kenny Omega came to blows following a heated confrontation between the two. Later in the broadcast, it was announced that Strickland and Omega would go one-on-one on the next episode of the show. Given that both men have previously held the World Championship, it is likely that the winner of the match will be one step closer to a future match for the top prize in the promotion.
This will also be the first episode of Dynamite following the Grand Slam special in Australia for a second consecutive year. As MJF retained his World Championship on the show and Adam Page became the new number one contender, both men are set to go face-to-face ahead of their match at Revolution next month.
After Alex Windsor and Jamie Hayter formed a tag team and named themselves The Brawling Brids, the duo are set to be in action on Dynamite.
Also, with Kyle Fletcher winning the TNT Championship and Thekla winning the Women’s Championship, it’s likely that both new champions will speak on the show.
