Two title matches and more have been announced for the August 29 episode of WWE SmackDown, which will also be the final edition of the show before Clash in Paris, and will air live from France.
On the August 22 episode of SmackDown, Piper Niven pinned Charlotte Flair, who is currently one half of the Women’s Tag Team Champions alongside Alexa Bliss. With The Secret Hervice looking to bring gold back to the group, Niven and Alba Fyre will receive an opportunity at the titles on the show.
Sami Zayn has been interfering in Solo Sikoa’s business over the past few weeks, and also has a pinfall victory over the United States Champion. In what will be the second title match, Zayn will face off against Sikoa.
With Carmelo Hayes and The Miz building up momentum over the past few weeks, the duo will take on The Street Profits. Whoever is the winner will become the new number one contenders to the Tag Team Championships, which are currently held by The Wyatt Sicks.
With the show set to air live from Lyon, France, a raucous crowd is expected, given how loud the fans were when Backlash came to the country back in 2024.
