Lilian Garcia Finishes Up As WWE SmackDown Ring Announcer, Provides Update On Return

Lilian Garcia

Legendary ring announcer Lilian Garcia has announced that she will no longer be providing the introductions on WWE SmackDown.

Making the announcement on Instagram after the March 14th episode of SmackDown in Barcelona, Garcia thanked the fans and noted that she grew up in Spain before noting that SmackDown was her last as ring announcer, adding that it is a new era and things are being moved around.

Continuing, Garcia added that WWE is still her home and that she is not going anywhere, stating that she will return at the upcoming Saturday Night’s Main Event specials and will be singing at select events as the next chapter of her career begins:

🚨NEWS ALERT🚨

Just finished announcing SmackDown in Barcelona, Spain and it was absolutely incredible!! Gracias por todo el amor España! ❤️

But now I have some news that this was my last show as the full-time SmackDown announcer. A new era is upon us BUT I will still be with the company as I will be announcing for all @wwe Saturday Night’s Main Event shows on @nbc & @peacock , singing at certain special events, AND currently working on other show ideas with WWE! 😉

WWE is my home so stay tuned as a new chapter begins… I invite all of you to continue this journey with me as we share it together!! 📖🤸🏼‍♀️

Bottom line, thank you and I love you dearly!!!! 💙🥰

At this time, it is unknown who will be Garcia’s replacement as the SmackDown ring announcer. Alicia Taylor currently provides introductions on WWE Raw and Mike Rome is the announcer for WWE NXT.
