British wrestling star Lana Austin has let the fans know that she will be taking a break from the ring for the foreseeable future.
On July 17, Austin posted on her Instagram page that she will be taking time off after suffering the injury. The former TNT Undisputed Women’s Champion added that while she is gutted at missing previous shows and will be missing more, she is taking the doctor’s advice for her recovery:
Unfortunately due to a concussion I will be taking some time off from wrestling 😫 Gutted to have missed shows already, will be missing more in the coming weeks 😭 but listening to the doctors advice taking time to rest, heel and working on getting back to 100% 💪🏻♥️♥️
Austin recently lost the TNT Undisputed Women’s Championship at the last Sirens Fury show. While facing Skye Smitson in the main event, Alexxis Falcon cashed in her Level Up Briefcase to steal the title away. However, Austin defeated Falcon at Edinburgh’s Discovery Wrestling to win the promotion’s Women’s Championship.
Lana Austin Still Champion In Multiple Promotions
Austin currently holds championships both as a singles star and as a tag team with her best friend Hollie Barlow. The duo, collectively known as LALLIE, are the reigning TNT Women’s Tag Team Champions, and are also the co-champions of the Infinite Women’s Championship.
Austin is the reigning Fight Factory Wrestling Ladies Champion after the Lincoln-based promotion recently reintroduced the title.
Features of Wrestling would like to wish Lana Austin a full and speedy recovery.
