KnokX Pro wrestling school is allegedly telling their students to not speak with the authorities following the controversial incident that took place at one of its shows over the past weekend that horrified fans around the world.
On August 24, footage emerged of Raja Jackson, the son of MMA fighter Quinton “Rampage” Jackson slamming wrestler Syko Stu to the ground and delivering more than 20 strikes to his head, resulting in Stu being hospitalised with serious injuries. Following the incident that went viral on social media and was seen by millions, a follow-up report stated that the LAPD had gotten involved and launched an investigation.
With the footage being captured, many called for Jackson to be prosecuted and jailed over what took place. The latest update comes from 2 students of the academy, who claim that they have been instructed to not speak to the police.
“People At This School Are Being Encouraged To Not Cooperate With The Police”: KnokX Pro Wrestler Ian Morgan
KnocX Pro wrestlers Douglas Malo and Ian Morgan appeared on The Scaling Up podcast to discuss the situation. During the conversation, Morgan made the allegation that people at the school have been encouraged to not speak with police about what happened and that only a select few should cooperate with the authorities:
“The most disgusting thing is that people at this school are being encouraged to not cooperate with the police,” he said.
“From what I hear, the police were there investigating the scene shortly after Stu was removed. And there has been multiple requests that have gone downstream from upper management to not talk with the police directly if they are contacted and to only let a certain group of individuals interact with the police. That is extremely dishonest. You guys let your friend almost die and now you’re trying to have people lie for you.”
The school is owned by Hall of Famer Rikishi, and was a part of the WWE ID program. However, following the controversial Raja Jackson incident, the accreditation looks to have been removed. Although many fans have called out Rikishi over what took place at the promotion, both Malo and Morgan made it clear that the Hall of Famer is not to blame over what happened:
“Rikishi gets the blame because his name is on the school, but that doesn’t represent him,”
A GoFundMe for Stu has since been launched, which recently passed $74,000 in donations. AEW star Chris Jericho has donated $2,500 to the cause.
