Kevin Owens Says He And CM Punk “Have No Reason To Talk”

Kevin Owens has detailed his relationship with CM Punk.

Kevin Owens has elaborated on his relationship with CM Punk.

Prior to both men making their way to WWE, the two former World Champions would cross paths on a number of occasions on the independent scene. Punk was previously critical of Owens wrestling in a T-shirt in Ring of Honor, which Owens has brought up since by joking about the fact that he made it in a t-shirt, which Punk is allegedly “furious” about.

Back at Survivor Series 2023, CM Punk did what many expected would never happen as he walked out in front of a WWE crowd for the first time in nearly a decade. While many fans were happy to see Punk, some of the locker room did not feel the same way. Along with reports of locker room unrest during Punk’s time in AEW, others who crossed paths with the Chicago native in the past seemed upset that he was back in the company, letting their feelings be known in follow-up interviews.

Punk and Owens have been seen together onscreen since Punk returned but according to Owens, their relationship is professional and nothing more. Speaking with Lewis Browning of The Daily MailOwens was pushed for a comment on Punk and said the following:

‘We never talk,’ he says, to the point. ‘We have no reason to talk. We’re not friends. We’re not, we don’t, you know, we’re just not, I don’t know. We have no reason to talk. If we work together, we will talk, but just not a thing we do.’

Kevin Owens Hopes For Championship Glory In Europe

Set to challenge Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed Championship at Bash in Berlin, Owens will look to become a 2-time World Champion in WWE 8 months on from his inaugural reign, which occurred when Finn Balor had to relinquish the title due to injury the night after he won the championship at SummerSlam 2016.
