Karrion Kross debuted new ring gear on the August 23rd edition of Monday Night RAW. The former 2 time NXT Champion wore a new mask during his entrance and straps on each of his shoulders.
The new gladiator style look appears to be repackaging to distinguish the main roster Karrion Kross to the NXT version of Karrion Kross. Following his defeat to Samoa Joe at NXT TakeOver 36, Kross now is a permanent member of the Monday Night RAW roster.
While some have criticised the new attire of Kross on social media, the in-ring performance was dominant. The former NXT Champion defeated Ricochet in a quick squash match on RAW.
Karrion Kross has been one of the more poorly booked NXT callups in recent memory. Following his surprise debut on RAW, Kross lost his debut match to Jeff Hardy via rollup. Kross then picked up a win and a loss to Keith Lee, and then went on to defeat Hardy two more times. Following the mocking online from fans, it will be interesting to see if the new look is altered or removed in the coming weeks.
