Kanji is going to Wembley Arena following her big win at RevPro’s Women’s Grand Prix tournament.
The Nottingham-born wrestler was the last woman standing in the Women’s Grand Prix tournament in Wolverhampton on July 25. As a result of the victory, Kanji is set to face Alexis Falcon for the Undisputed British Women’s Championship at RevPro’s 14-year anniversary show on August 29. The show will take place inside Wembley Arena, the biggest venue RevPro has ever held a show.
Kanji defeated Jessica Troy in the opening round on show one. Later that day, Kanji picked up a DQ win over Shayna Baszler. A beatdown followed where Baszler and Zoey Serrano [FKA Zoey Stark in WWE] reunited to beat down the RevPro fan favourite.
As it appeared that Kanji would not be able to compete in the final against Zeuxis, Myle Grace was prepared to step in as the alternate after winning a 4-way match earlier in the day. However, shortly before the final was set to begin, Kanji interrupted to compete in the match. Fighting through the pain, Kanji defeated Zeuxis via submission to win the tournament.
On top of winning the tournament and securing her spot at Wembley, the RevPro star was also presented with a winner’s trophy.
Kanji Looking To Win RevPro Championship For The First Time
While Kanji has previously held Women’s Championships in promotions such as PROGRESS, Defiant and her local promotion House of Pain, she has never held the Undisputed British Women’s Title. Kanji has previously held the Southside Women’s Championship back in 2021, which was defended under the RevPro banner.
Reigning champion Falcon was also in action at the show, as she defeated Lucy Sky in the main event of show one to retain the title.
