Josh Alexander is now officially recognised as the longest reigning IMPACT World Champion in the history of the promotion.
The Walking Weapon broke the record on January 4th 2023, with the reign standing at 257 days and counting. Alexander would surpass the previously longest reigning champion Bobby Roode, who held the title for 256 days.

Josh Alexander won the IMPACT World Championship at the Rebellion pay-per-view, defeating Moose in the main event of the show to win the title for a second time in his career. Alexander’s first reign took place at the Bound For Glory event in 2022. The reign would not last until the end of the show, as Moose cashed in his Call Your Shot privilege to defeat Alexander.
