John Cena To Star Alongside David Harbour In "The Family Disappears"

John Cena is set to star in the upcoming comedy The Family Disappers, with Stranger Things star David Harbour also a part of the cast.

Deadline reports that Cena and Harbour will join forces for the upcoming film by Fifth Season Studios. The premise of the film “follows an overworked dad who returns from a work trip to find his family has disappeared and a mysterious newcomer has bought and moved into their home.”

Nick Weidenfeld and Alexis Garcia are the producers of the film, who previously worked together with Fifth Season and A24 to produce Friendship, which starred Tim Robinson and Paul Rudd. Production is set to begin on November 10 in Atlanta, Georgia.

Harbour starred in the final episode of Stranger Things on January 1, bringing to an end the popular Netflix series. Harbour’s other upcoming projects will be Violent Night 2, Little One, Avengers: Doomsday, John Rambo; and Fifth Season’s A Head Full of Ghosts.

John Cena To Join David Harbour For Latest Acting Project

Cena is currently promoting his latest film, Matchbox The Movie, which will stream on Apple TV on October 9. Cena’s last theatre release was Coyote vs. Acme, which mixed live action with the popular Looney Tunes cartoon. Despite being originally shelved as a tax write-off by Warner Bros., the film was later acquired and released by another studio. Proving the doubters wrong, Coyote vs. Acme was a success both at the box office and among critics.
