John Cena has named his pick for who he would love to face at WrestleMania if he could have any opponent, past or present.
Over the course of his 23-year career on the WWE main roster, Cena has faced some of the all-time greats and won multiple championships on The Grandest Stage. From The Rock to Triple H to Randy Orton, Cena has a decorated resume of Mania opponents with many current or future Hall of Famers.
Ahead of his next match against AJ Styles at Crown Jewel, Cena once again appeared at a Fan Expo Q&A. When asked who his ultimate Wrestlemania dream opponent would be, the Hollywood star stated that if he could wrestle anyone, it would be Andre The Giant:
“Just selfishly, Andre, because he was like the measuring stick,” Cena responded. “The folklore behind Andre the Giant is mythical, in both physical as his presence but also in like the folklore of the fraternity of the brotherhood of wrestling, especially the WWF territory. I’m sure it’s across the world, because Andre was a global phenomenon. But, selfishly, yes, that would be the one: Andre the Giant.”
Dubbed “The Eighth Wonder of the World”, Andre The Giant was one of the names responsible for WWF’s spike in popularity in the 80s and transforming it into the global brand it is today. At 7 foot 4 and weighing over 500 pounds, Andre was one of the original attraction performers, and was the first-ever inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame. Andre’s most famous match took place in 1987, when he faced Hulk Hogan in the main event of WrestleMania III.

Cena’s final WrestleMania appearance took place back in 2025, which saw him capture his record-breaking 17th World Championship after defeating Cody Rhodes in the main event of night 2. Now that the retirement tour is winding down, the biggest question now is who will receive the honour of being Cena’s final opponent. Following the latest update, John Cena’s final opponent looks to have been revealed.
