Jey Uso would love one more go at a WWE match that did not get the desired reaction from the fans.
Despite the fact that Uso broke away from The Bloodline in late 2023, fans knew that the former Intercontinental Champion would cross paths with the group once again. First teased at the 2024 Royal Rumble with Jey and brother Jimmy being the first 2 entrants, a match between The Usos was later made official for WrestleMania 40.
Unfortunately, the match itself was not well received by fans and was regarded as one of the few weak matches to take place across the entire weekend. Knowing that they are capable of more, Uso would love to run it back. Speaking with Peter Rosenberg on the Cheap Heat podcast, Uso believes that another match could be a show stealer:
“To be honest, I would like to run it back with my brother one more time. Like, I would like to because (it) left a little bad taste in my mouth with that one.”
“I just know what we can do. The fans have no damn clue. I know, me and my brother know, man. And hell yeah, we would have stole the show. It was just things happen. We’re all a team.”
While speaking with Gorilla Position earlier in the year, Uso admitted he did feel let down:
“I kind of feel like we did let the people down, because I wanted to go out there and have a straight-up banger too. I wanted to do the wrestling part, but let alone make sure the emotion part is there.”
“It was just a time issue, uce. You know what I’m saying? You just got to play your position on the team. That’s what happened. I’m still happy though, uce. I got a singles match on WrestleMania with my brother – that’s the big picture. So I’m going to always have me and him in the faceoff at WrestleMania.”
Jey Uso Preparing For WarGames
Now back on the same page with brother Jimmy, Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn, The OG Bloodline are set to take on The New Bloodline and Bronson Reed at Survivor Series inside WarGames. The OG Bloodline are still on the hunt for a 5th member, likely to be confirmed to be Seth Rollins within the next few days.
