Jey Uso has expressed a desire to team with Sami Zayn in WWE as part of a “full blown” partnership.
During his time in The Bloodline, Uso’s relationship with Zayn was a complicated one. Initially reluctant to welcome Zayn into the family, Uso accepted Zayn as part of the group when The Honorary Uce helped The Bloodline be victorious at Survivor Series 2022. The friendship would break down in early 2023 when Zayn finally had enough of Roman Reigns’s orders and attacked Teh Tribal Chief with a steel chair, causing Zayn to be expelled from the group. While Zayn was attacked by The Usos on that night and in the lead-up to WrestleMania 39, Zayn and Kevin Owens would have the last laugh as they defeated The Usos to win the Tag Team Championships in the main event of night one.
With Jey Uso now no longer associated with The Bloodline and having patched things up following his jump to Raw, the former Tag Team Champion wants to go for the titles again, this time with Zayn by his side.
Speaking with Alistair McGeorge of Metro, Uso stated that he and Zayn have great chemistry and that he would love to form a tag team with the former Intercontinental Champion:
“I know we hated each other on screen, but we really love each other in the back, but it just came off on TV, so organically. You will have little glimpses of me and him on Raw but man, I really want to go like, full blown tag team with him and try to see how that goes.”
“One of the most best times of my wrestling career was that Bloodline, with Sami Zayn.”
Along with his brother Jimmy Uso, Jey has also won the Tag Team Championships alongside Cody Rhodes.
Jey Uso Set For Major Match On Raw
While Uso has won multiple Tag Team Championships in WWE, he has yet to win a title as a singles competitor. Uso is hoping to change that on September 23rd as he will challenge Bron Breakker for the Intercontinental Championship.
