Cargill dethroned Stratton by hitting several powerbombs onto the now former champion followed by her Jaded finisher to pick up the win. Stratton won the title back in January when she cashed in her Money in the Bank contract on Nia Jax. Leading up to the match, the company acknowledged that Stratton had the best win/loss record of anyone in the company. Additionally, Strattton was also one of the few champions to retain her title at WreslteMania 41 with a victory over Women’s Royal Rumble winner Charlotte Flair.

Cargill is the 14th wrestler to win the WWE Women’s Championship, which was first introduced back in 2016. The inaugural holder was Charlotte Flair, who won the title at WreslteMania 32 after the Divas Championship was retired.
