Huge Demand For John Cena's Last Match

Unsurprisingly, there has been a lot of interest in tickets for John Cena’s last match, which will see the 17-time World Champion bring his historic in-ring career to an end.

With just 2 matches left for Cena, many are hoping that they can be in attendance at the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. to witness the last time the WWE legend steps inside the ring. Given the magnitude of the occasion, the number of fans looking to get tickets could easily fill a stadium.

As reported by social media account WrestleVotes, more than 45,000 fans were after tickets for the final match, approximately 3 times the capacity of the venue:

A few minutes after 10 AM, there were over 45,000 people in the Ticketmaster queue attempting to purchase tickets to John Cena‘s Final Match. That’s roughly 3 times the amount of people the Capital One Arena can hold.

With WWE’s high ticket prices often causing anger among many fans for how steep they have gotten in recent times, it’s also no surprise that seeing the final stop on the Cena farewell tour also isn’t cheap, with the lowest-priced ticket reportedly being priced at $200.

When Is John Cena’s Last Match?

Cena is set to step in the ring one final time on December 13 at the final Saturday Night’s Main Event special of the year. Much like Goldberg, Cena will be retiring on a network special as opposed to at a Premium Live Event.

After making a surprise appearance at Money in the Bank 2024, the Hollywood star confirmed that 2025 would be his final year as an active competitor. With highlights including competing in the Royal Rumble, turning heel, and winning his 17th World Championship at WrestleMania 41, Cena has made more than 30 appearances throughout the year, each with custom merch that has been a huge seller in every location.
