The long awaited in-ring debut of the Olympic gold medalist will take place on Sunday, July 30th.
Gable Steveson, who signed with WWE back in September 2021, has made multiple appearances across WWE TV and PLE’s. Highlights of the Olympian’s time with the company so far include facing off in a post-match segment against Chad Gable at WrestleMania 38 and coming to the aide of Kurt Angle to recreate the milk truck segment.
Despite the 2 year anniversary of the signing drawing near, Steveson has yet to have an official match in WWE, despite being drafted to Raw during the 2021 WWE Draft. However, as seen on the July 25th episode of NXT, the debut appears to be set.
Steveson addressed the WWE Universe about his future, stating that he could go back to the Olympics or go back to college. The gold medalist was interrupted by Baron Corbin, who warned Steveson to think carefully about his future.
Corbin warned the Olympian that he doesn’t belong inside the squared circle, and that the WWE is full of sharks. Steveson responded by saying that he has made his decision, and challenged The Lone Wolf to a match at The Great Amerian Bash, which Corbin accepted.

- Tiffany Stratton (c) vs. Thea Hail – Singles match for the NXT Women’s Championship
- Gable Steveson vs. Baron Corbin
- Roxanne Perez vs. Blair Davenport – Weapons wild match
