FTR unexpectedly lost the AEW Tag Team Championships on an episode of Collision.
Known for having lengthy and critically acclaimed battles either challenging or defending the titles, the champions’ reign ended after a loss to Big Bill and Ricky Starks on the October 7th episode of Collision.
Ending with a match time under 5 minutes, Harwood was pinned following a spear by Starks. Cash Wheeler was driven through the announce table and was never tagged into the match. The victory marks Big Bill and Ricky Stark’s first championship reigns in All Elite Wrestling.
With FTR being squashed by the new champions and CM Punk gone from the company, some have jumped to the conclusion that this may signify that Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler may be departing the company shortly. However, according to Fightful Select, this does not appear to be the case.
The report states that FTR are singed with AEW through to 2027 and there has been no reported animosity between either side. Another theory is that Cash Wheeler may be dealing with an undisclosed injury.
In an update on social media, Harwood confirmed that FTR are not leaving AEW anytime soon:
