A former WWE Champion committed their future to the company earlier in the year.
As reported by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, Kofi Kingston re-signed with WWE in what is believed to be a 5 year deal. This means that Kingston will be nearly 49 when the deal expires at some point in 2030. The news follows an update earlier in the week that Xavier Woods had recently signed a new deal, with The New Day member also confirming the news on social media.
While many major stars committed their futures to the promotion back in 2024 when multiple big deals from 2019 were set to expire, Kingston and Woods were two top stars who were not approaching the end of their contracts during that period.
Former WWE Champion Kofi Kingston To Stay In Company For Foreseeable Future
One of the most successful performers in the modern era, Kingston is a multi-time Tag Team Champion, mostly with Big E and Xavier Woods in The New Day. Also capturing championships as a singles star, Kingston previously held the Intercontinental and United States Championships.
The biggest moment of Kingston’s career occurred in 2019 when he defeated Daniel Bryan to win the WWE Championship for the first time in his career.
